Tap Drill sizes
Below are some general tables for tap drill sizes for general threads. at the bottom you'll find a calculator where you can adjust thread engagement.
As a rule of thumb, you will usually get close to the correct tap drill diameter by taking the outter diameter of the thread and subtracting the pitch value from it.
for example an M3 thread is: 3-0,5 = 2,5 mm tap drill size
